Edward A. Francis, 74, 25 Lisa Lane, husband of Mazie Jewel Francis, died Monday, April 12 at his home. He was born July 18, 1935 in Knott County to the late John Francis and Leona Nealon Francis. He was a retired Army Veteran and a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Mazie Jewel Francis, Stanton; two sons, Ricky R. Sanders, Pensacola, Fla. and Michael E. Francis, Coppers Cove, Texas; a daughter, Leona Jean Donofrio, Celine, Mich.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 14, at 2 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home, Stanton by Rev. Gary Willoughby.

Cora Mae King, 73
Cora Mae King, 73, 5869 South Fork Road, Stanton, died Friday, April 16 at her home. She was born Feb. 8, 1937 in Powell County to the late John and Liza Jane King Branham.
Survivors include three sons, William Darrell and wife, Pamela Beth King, Virgil Glenn King, and Michael Wayne King; three daughters, Sandra Anderson, Wilma and husband, Stacy McCoy, and Carolyn Ann and husband, Russell Ballard; five brothers, Ova Branham, Louis Branham, Elmer Branham, Howard Branham, and Omer Branham; two sisters, Delphie Barker and Martha Coldiron; grandchildren, Sara Beth McCoy, James Anderson, Lester Ray Ballard Jr., Rachel Ann Ballard, Bethany Michelle McCoy, and William Glenn McCoy; great-grandchildren, Blaytin Emmanuel Anderson, Logan Chase McCoy, Christopher Dale Townsend, and Shalya Page Ledford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jerry Branham; a sister, Demia Creech; and grandchildren, Leslie Michelle Townsend, Melissa Jo Anderson, George Henry Anderson, and Barbara Bernice McCoy.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 19, at 1 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home, Stanton by Rev. Bill White with burial in Branham Cemetery, Nada.

Isaac Edward Friend, 57, 760 Miller Ridge Road, died Saturday, April 17 at his home. He was born July 8, 1952 in Estill County to the late Sidney and Celia Whisman Friend. He was an employee of United American Energy. Survivors include a son, Joey Friend, Campton; daughters, Rebecca Friend and Samantha Elam, both of Campton, Amanda Cliburn, Wilmington, Ohio; brothers, Eugene Friend, Beattyville, Sid Friend Jr., Patsy, Robert Friend, Donald Friend, Ronald Friend, and Paul Friend, all of Stanton, William Friend, Georgetta, Ala., Dwight Friend and Allen Friend, Pine Ridge, Gary Friend, Rogers, and Timothy Friend, Wilmington, Ohio; sisters, Wavelene Sparks, Leeco and Josephine Gross, Avon; grandchildren, Cody Michael Chambers, Rylee Paige Friend, Kaycee Whitt, Kelsey Maggard, and Brayden Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Friend; and sisters, Eunice Sparks and Gloria McCoy. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 21, at 1 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home, Stanton with burial in Hall Cemetery, Stanton.

Roy Billings, 68
Roy Daniel “Danny” Billings, 68, 1404 North Fork Road, husband of Patricia Wickline Billings, died Saturday, April 17 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington. He was born Sept. 17, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Roy and Ada Frazier Billings. He was former Stanton Chief of Police and served in law enforcement for over 20 years. After retiring he started Dan-Son’s construction company where he was the owner and operator. He was a member of the Torrent Masonic Lodge 711, Zachariah.
Survivors include his wife, Patty Billings, Stanton; sons, Darrell and wife, Jennifer Billings, Denny and wife, Renee Billings, Dustin and wife, Lisa Billings, and Darby and wife, Christi Billings, all of Stanton; sisters, Mary Barnes and Shirley Lowe, both of Clay City, Connie Gardner, Lexington, Nancy Cox, and Beulah Pelfrey, both of Stanton, Glenda Lacy, Alaska; grandchildren, Logan Tanner, Erin Danielle, Joseph Tristan Hunter, Darcy LaVonne, Kaitlyn McKenzi, Chloe Morgan, Tanner Glen, and Ellie Grace. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Daniel Shadoe Duran Billings.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at Bowen First Church of God by Rev. Anthony Molihan and Rev. Stephen Donithan. Visitation Monday 4-9pm at the church with Masonic Rights at 7 p.m.. Burial in Wickline Cemetery, Stanton.

Noah Crase, 75
Noah Crase, 75, died on April 13, 2010. He was born in Barwick on Dec. 10, 1934, the son of Pearlie Crase and James Crase. He lived in the Franklin/Springboro, Ohio area for many years and retired from the Springboro Post Office. He was a member of Spring Hill Church of Christ. He was a great banjo player and had performed with several bands, one being Bill Monroe’s Bluegrass Boys. He also loved to fish, hunt, and cook. He was preceded in death by his mother Pearlie Crase and his father James Crase; and three sisters.
Survivors include his loving wife Elena Crase; two sons, Derek (Regina) Crase of Clay City, and Noah James “Jimmy” Crase of Franklin, Ohio; one daughter Alicia (Charles) Neville of Germantown, Ohio; one step-daughter, Lisa (Steve) George of Middletown, Ohio; two grandsons, Jimmy (Stacy) Crase, and Matthew (Christy) Crase; one granddaughter, Holly Crase; one step-grandson, Marshall George; two great- granddaughters, Morgan and Abigail Crase; one great-grandson, Colin Crase; one sister, Katherine Toler of Crosby, Texas; two brothers Claude (Marcie) Crase of Carlisle, Ohio and John Crase of Phoenix, Az.
