
Joey Ferryman
Joey Ferryman is this week’s PTO Student of the Week at Powell County High School. He is the son of Michael and Christine Townsend of Clay City.
Joey is a junior at PCHS and has been a member of the golf team for three years and was on the track team for one year. He is active in the Beta Club, Science and Ecology Club, Upper Room, and HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America).
He was nominated by is AP English III teacher, Mrs. Gretchen Brewer.
Joey plans to major in Pre-Medicine at Morehead State University and then attend the University of Kentucky College of Medicine to become an ophthalmologist.
Student of the Week is a program sponsored by the PTO and recognizes students who are role models in the areas of study, effort, cooperation, and attitude. Other students nominated this week include Andrew Adams, Kim Pelfrey, and Allison Roberts.
