Juanita Campbell, 77, of Brush Creek Rd in Clay City died on August 26 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was a member of the West Bend First Church of God and she retired from CMS.
She is survived by two sons Ricky Collins and wife Kathy of Louisville, Jeffery Collins and wife Caroline of Canada, a daughter Debra Collins of Winchester, nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren, one brother William Napier and wife Norma of Indiana, three sisters Opal Olinger of Clay City, Mary Lou Stapleton of Clay City and Lillie Taulbee and husband Frank of Winchester. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Campbell, her parents Aruthur and Mandy Napier and a brother Elmer Ray Napier.
Funeral services were held on August 30 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Clay City with Bro James Combs officiating.
Burial followed in the Napier Cemetery. Pallbearers were Johnny Herald, Larry Hickland, Lawrence Buckland, Nick Buckland, Charles Buckland and Steven Buckland. Grayson Funeral Home was in charge of services.
Debra Elaine Malone, 60, wife of Ted Malone, died on August 16 at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester. She was born June 25, 1957 in Lexington to the late Harry Russell and Mildred Neal Adams. She was a retired nurse.
Survivors include, husband, Ted Malone, Irvine; son, Steven Lutes; sister, Sherry Lynn (Harold) Borden; grandchildren, Emmett Lutes, Jace Lutes, and Liliana Lutes; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services were held on August 20 at Davis & Davis Funeral Home, Stanton by Rev. James Combs.
Burial was in Stonegate Cemetery, Stanton with Ted Malone, Shaun Malone, Steven Lutes, Bob Mays, Danny Barnett, and James Brashear serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers serving, Joe Neal, Elvin Neal, Clell Neal, and Rodney Snowden. Davis & Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Carter Leo Combs, 82, of Indianapolis, Indiana died on August 25. He was born in Stanton, Kentucky to Audney and Verta Combs. Leo greatly enjoyed traveling and coin collecting.
He is survived by his wife; Stella Mae Combs, son; Brad (Vivian) Combs, daughter; Dawn Combs, and grandchildren; Bradley Johnson, Aros Franck, Donald Leo Combs, and Chloe Combs.
There are no services scheduled. Arrangements were entrusted to Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care.
Debra Lynn Snowden, 58, of Lake Neomia Road in Clay City, Kentucky died on August 24 at Marcum and Wallace Hospital, Irvine, Kentucky. Born in Winchester, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Elva Thomas Snowden and the late Evelyn Marie Powell Snowden. She was a former nurse at the Christian Church Homes of KY. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard Alan Snowden.
She is survived by her daughter, Lucinda Slone and her son-in-law, Chris Slone of Winchester; one brother, James Russell (Kay) Snowden of Cynthiana and by three sisters, Darlene Glover of Stanton, Jane Robb and Cathy (Steve) Jones both of Clay City.
Funeral services officiated by Bro. Mike Rogers were be held on August 28 at Hearne Funeral Home 125 West College Avenue in Stanton.
Burial will be in Powell’s Valley Cemetery with Jason Rogers, Steve Jones, Steve Randall, Mark Miller, Donnie Miller, Charlie Roark and Hunter Mitchell serving as active pallbearers and Alma Moore, Sister Linda Arbaugh, and the congregation of the Church of God at Zanesville, OH will be honorary pallbearers. John Miles Kinser, 58, husband of Teresa Profitt Kinser died on August 18. He was born August 7, 1959 to the late James Forest and Katherine Faulkner Kinser. He was a retired welder having worked 23 years at Tennessee Gas Pipeline as a welder and pipeline foreman, and pipeline welder until his retirement.
Survivors include, wife of 36 years, Teresa Kinser, Sons, Travis and wife, Annie Kinser and Daniel and wife, Elaina Kinser; brother, Myron and wife, Gina Kinser; grandchildren, Jordyn Elizabeth Kinser, Willie Kye Kinser, Mia Grace Kinser; aunts, Phyllis Faulkner, Patty Neal, and Virginia Faulkner; nieces, Lori and husband, Daniel Barry; nephew, Evan Kinser; great-niece, Cassidy Barry; great-nephew, Aiden Barry; special cousins, Ralph and Joyce Kinser. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Steven Kinser, father and mother-in-law, Willie and Geneva Profitt.
Services were held on August 21 at Davis & Davis Funeral Home by Bro. Anthony Molihan and Bro. Mike Hicks.
