Weight Watchers will meet every Tuesday at the Stanton First Church of God located at 980 E. College Avenue. The weigh-in is at 6 p.m. and the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.
Powell County Republican Party Meeting
Powell County Republican Party will be having a meeting at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at Brookside Cottages, Stanton. Powell County Board of Health Meeting
The Powell County Board of Health will hold a meeting on Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. at the Powell County Health Department. The public is invited to attend.
Christmas Bazaar at the Clay City Municipal Building on Saturday, Nov.16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. LOTS of local vendors.
Benefit for Alfred Morton
Benefit Fund Raiser for Alfred Morton, Southeast Lung Transplant Fund. Alfred was born and raised in Powell County and now is in need of a lung transplant. We are having a chili supper ($6 per person), Keith Prater Bluegrass Band and raffle drawings at the Lions Club Building on Ewing Trail on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 5 p.m. All donations are being accepted! PCHS Baseball Fundraiser
The PCHS Baseball Team will be hosting the Pirate’s Homerun Desserts on Nov. 27 in the PCHS Cafeteria from 2-8 p.m. You can donate a special dessert and then come by and purchase one made by someone else. All desserts will be made locally and labeled. Clay City Christmas Parade
Clay City Parks will be sponsoring the Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. Churches, schools, clubs, businesses, etc. are encouraged to participate. Ribbons will be awarded. Line-up will be at 12 p.m. at the junction of 15 and 10th Avenue. Call 663-5209 for more information. In the event of rain parade will be cancelled.
SNRC Pampered Chef Book Party
Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is holding a Pampered Chef Book Party to raise money for our Residents Christmas Fund. The order will be turned in Friday, Nov. 22. However, on Thursday Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Pampered Chef Representative Becky Wells will be onsite at SNRC to showcase items and answer any questions.

16th Annual Senior Citizens Center Christmas Bazaar
The Powell County Senior Citizens Center will hold their 16th Annual Christmas Bazaar fund raiser on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Stanton City Park. All proceeds will go toward feeding the elderly in the community. All donations appreciated. For more information call 606-663-5981.
Veterans Support Group
A Veterans Support Group will meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the AmVets Post #67 in Clay City.
Cruising Car Club Meeting.
Twin City Kruzerz Car Club will be holding their monthly meeting the first Monday of each month at Irvine City Hall. If the meeting falls on a holiday it will be the following Monday. Genealogy Help Desk
The Red River Historical Society and Museum located at 4541 Main Street in Clay City has opened a Genealogy Help Desk. It will be staffed by members of the historical society and members of the Red River Valley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). If you are researching your Eastern Kentucky roots we hope we can be of some help to you. The hours are 2 to 5 p.m. each Sunday at the museum.
Powell County Diabetes Support Group
