James Andrew Boothe, 49, 4516 Old KY 15, Campton, died Thursday morning June 10, 2010 in Clay City. Born in Clark County, he was a son of the late George and Anna Watkins Booth. He attended the Black Creek Holiness Church in Clay City. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, Claude Ray Booth.
Survivors include his daughter, Samantha and her husband Pete Holmes, Jr. of Stanton; five brothers, Gary Wayne (Trisha) Booth and George Tony Booth of Wolfe County, Henry (Helen) Booth of Paris, David Booth and Steve Booth both of Stanton; and his grandson, Ezekiel Holmes of Stanton.
Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Hearne Funeral Home Chapel, Stanton by Rev. Herbert Barnett with burial on Sunday afternoon, June 13, at the Rose Cemetery, Stanton.

Homer Helton, 72
Homer Kenneth Helton, 72, 20 Scrivner Street, died Tuesday, June 8 at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester. He was born March 29, 1938 in Powell County to the late Homer and Ila Mae Tester Helton.
Survivors include a son, Anthony Helton, Stanton; brothers, Virgil and wife, Jackie Helton, Morgantown, N.C., Stanley and wife, Marilyn Helton, Peru, Ind., and Bobby Helton, Winchester; sisters, Loretta McCoy, Stanton and Virgie and husband, Rex Leach, Stanton; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Orland “Oliver” Helton; and sister, Vandetta Joyce Helton Campbell. Funeral services were held Friday, June 11 at 12 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home, Stanton by Rev. Randy Pointer with burial in Helton Hill Cemetery.
Rezza Mae Whitaker, 86
Rezza Mae Townsend Whitaker, 86, 6190 Campton Road, Stanton, died Wednesday morning, June 9, 2010 at her residence. Born in Powell County, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Dora Meadows Helton. She was a former cook at Dalton’s Restaurant and a former maid at Natural Bridge State Park. She had attended Tin Town Church of Christ and Living Waters Church of God. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands, Lemon Townsend and Owen Whitaker; two sons, Elijah Arthur Mullins and Animum Junior Townsend; four brothers, Bishop Helton, Johnny Helton, Shirley Helton and Caney Meadows; and two sisters, Pearlie Ledford and Lynda Smith.
Survivors include two sons, Jay Townsend and Thomas Townsend of Stanton; one daughter, Freda Sue Campbell of Stanton; six grandchildren, Janice Campbell, Marco Elam, Don Brewer, Lonnie Townsend, Michael Townsend and Rachael Townsend; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Hearne Funeral Home Chapel, Stanton by Bro. Donald Wayne Hale and Bro. Herbert Barnett with burial at Tin Town Cemetery.

Larry Bradley “Brad” Meadows, 30, of 355 Garden Park, Nicholasville, died June 12, 2010 at St. Joseph Jessamine Hospital. Born in Mt. Sterling, he was a son of Larry Meadows and Claudette Cockrell Meadows Caudil. He was a railroad repairman with R. J. Coleman. Bradley formerly attended Stanton First Church of God. He is survived by his father, Larry Meadows of Nicholasville; his mother and step-father, Claudette and Malcolm Caudill of Lawrenceburg; his significant other, Carina Massie and their unborn son, Daylend Bradley Massie of Nicholasville; a brother, Michael Cockrell of Mt. Sterling; two sisters, Krista Meadows of Winchester and Bridget (Erik) Fountain of Clay City; maternal step-grandmother, Judy Caudill, Clay City; several aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held by Rev. James Harold Combs and Rev. Doug Dunn were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Hearne Funeral Home, Inc., Stanton with burial at Meadows Cemetery, Clay City.
