Harbor Light Worship Center is providing food for low income families of Powell County, Sundays  from  2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Harbor Light Worship Center has teamed with God’s Pantry in Lexington to provide for low income families in need of food. Mt. Springs Homecoming

The annual Mt. Springs Homecoming will be held Sunday, Sept.13 at the Mt. Springs Cemetery. Bring a covered dish and lawn chair and wear the old overalls and bonnets if you choose. Come and enjoy the day, dinner will be at 1 p.m.

The Powell County Christians United Against Drugs prayer meeting is held each Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Clay City Baptist Church except for the first Saturday of each month: Sept. 5 will be at Stanton Christian Church; Oct. 3 will be at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Roslyn; Nov. 7 will be at Knowlton Church of God on Furnace Road; Dec. 5 will be Christian Fellowship Church of God in Clay City

This prayer meeting is for all people of our county to attend and to meet together for a time of prayer not only for our drug situation but for other concerns as well.  If further information is needed, please call 606-663-4356.

Fifth Sunday Singing

Fifth Sunday Sing will be hosted by Stanton First Church of God on Sunday, Aug. 30, beginning at 6 p.m.  There will be fellowship and snacks in the fellowship hall  following the singing.  Pastor Anthony Molihan and congregation extends a warm welcome to everyone.

Stanton First Presbyterian Church Homecoming

The First Presbyterian Church of Stanton will be having a Homecoming Service on Aug. 23. Sunday  School starts at 9:45 a.m. and the Homecoming Service starts at 10:45 a.m. There will be a potluck lunch following the service. Come worship with us and joins us for fellowship.

Come join the journey!! Emmanuel Baptist Church will be holding their Vacation Bible School on Saturday, July 25, from 10 am-5 pm. All Kids 3 years old to 5th grade are invited to come out to enjoy a full day of fun activities as we “Journey off the Map” to discover God’s direction in this journey that is unknown to us, but known by Him. Classes will be held for all ages, Babies through Adults. A kickoff picnic, with water slide, will start the festivities: July 18, 6:00pm at the Salem pavilion.   Come join us for all of the fun and excitement.

Benefit Singing & Pot Luck

There will be a Benefit Singing and Pot Luck at Clavary Batist on Sunday, July 12 at 6 p.m. for Missionary Caraesa Steppe. Caraesa will be going on her second missionary trip to Israel in September for two weeks. She will witness to the people of Israel about God’s love and forgiveness of sin, she feels God’s call to move to Israel in the near future. Not all will leave the comforts of home and heed the call. Will you help support Caraesa with prayers and efforts of love. The church is located just off Black Creek Road and Stokley Loop in Clay City. Come sing and fellowship with us! Bring a dish.

Goff’s Corner Church of God Indoor Yard Sale-Dinner & Bake Sale

The Goff’s Corner Church of God, located at 115 Kiddville Road, will be holding an Indoor Yard Sale July 3-4 beginning at 9 a.m. each day. On Saturday, July 4 they will also have a Dinner/Bake sale, selling Hamburger or Hot Dog, chips, drink and dessert for only $5.

Epperson First Church of God 4th of July Celebration
